In today’s atmosphere of rapidly developing technologies
it is extremely difficult to stay abreast of the changes. At times it
seems that change is there to please itself and at other times it is
as though the technology is passing you by! We here at Hennessy spend
a good deal of time and money chasing tomorrow’s technology today!
Currently we have settled on the Procera Forte as our entry into CAD/CAM
technology for several reasons:
- The reputation of Nobel
Biocare as a world leader in implant dentistry as well as their long
term success with Procera Alumina as an aesthetic material worldwide. The evolution of Procera Zirconia on multiple shades has, in our opinion, surpassed the original Procera Alumina and we now utilize the Zirconia product on all of out new cases. The Alumina is still available to match existing restorations.
- The program and technology
used in their bridge system today, is capable of being used in titanium
implant restoration milling and is the platform used in the Guide
system of “Teeth
in an hour”. This assures you and us that we won’t own an
outdated system 6 months after spending $50,000.00 to acquire it. The
system has a proven track record and is still compatible with the original
scanners used 15 years ago. They have evolved the technology without
leaving their customer base behind, very unusual in today’s throw
away society.
- The control system in place
in Sweden as well as Mahwah, New Jersey is a proven commodity in
a cesspool of change and questionable quality control.
- The aesthetic nature
of the ceramic material they have developed for these systems. The
Nobel Rondo Porcelain systems are a unique approach to color and
light refraction that make matching or simulating a particular effect
a relatively simple and predictable endeavor in the hands of a talented
ceramist such as Yvonne Harrison. The ultimate result is a “Natural” or “Pearly
White” restoration that will meet your patient’s expectations
each and every time. Give Yvonne a call at 800.694.6862.
