Hennessy Dental Laboratory is proud to present information on the Hennessy Security Casting in this issue of our newsletter. This is a device that gives your over-denture cases a precision quality with a special emphasis on the ease of attachment replacement and additional attachment stability.

Although the Hennessy Security Casting is by definition a superstructure, it encompasses many more dimensions than a simple secondary casting. It braces against lateral force, provides a precise attachment receiver, and acts as a partial casting to reinforce the acrylic of the over-denture. That’s a tall order for a small thin casting to achieve.

The special design of this delicate casting enables us to solve the complex engineering problems that are encountered in these dental situations. It has been common practice when utilizing the ERA, VKS or Hader attachment systems to incorporate individual hoods to insure that wear and tear did not reduce the stability or the intimacy of fit of the replaceable nylon inserts of the attachment.
